MEET DR.JAMAL MONCUR

Dr. Jamal Moncur, born on March 18, 1978, is a dedicated master herbalist, author, nutritionist, and health coach deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of Cat Island. Growing up in a community where nature's remedies were the primary source of healing, he developed a profound understanding of herbal medicine from a young age.

Meeting and caring for his father months before his demise to cancer, left an indelible imprint on Dr. Moncur's life. It instilled in him a profound appreciation for the preciousness of time and life, as well as a deep understanding of the devastating impact of death and illness. This appreciation and understanding deepened over the years as he endured the heart-wrenching losses of his baby brother and cousin. These experiences ignited an unwavering commitment within Dr. Moncur to seek understanding of the human body and its innate healing functions. Today, he channels this inspiration into his work, sharing the wisdom of nature's remedies and empowering others to live healthier, disease-free lives while honoring the memory of those he has lost.

Circadian eating, aligned with the seasons, embodies a holistic approach to nutrition, recognizing that the native plants and harvest of our environment contain essential components for survival in that habitat. Our bodies, like the ecosystem, have evolved to synchronize with the changing seasons, and adhering to a circadian diet acknowledges that different times of the year necessitate varying nutritional needs. By following this principle, we eliminate hybrid, manufactured, all-seasonal fruits, and foods from our diet, steering clear of the negative side effects associated with genetically modified foods. This mindful connection to the natural rhythms of our environment not only ensures optimal nutrition but also promotes a harmonious balance between our bodies and the world we inhabit.
